Betancourt D-Stunner Pre Workout Review

Betancourt D-Stunner was actually the first pre workout supplement I ever tried, so I have a bit of a soft spot for it. I think it has a great stimulant blend – I get a good pump without my heart rate going crazy and also get a good energy boost without any real crash. Unless I take too much, in which case I notice a little bit of irritability. But relative to other pre workout drinks it’s barely noticeable. If you enjoy my review please let me know in the comments. Also, if you have anything to add or corrections to make, comment away!

D-Stunner contains the basic ingredients that are fundamental to pre workout supplements; Beta-alanine, Creatine Monohydrate and GlycoCarn. The GlycoCarn is basically a Nitric Oxide supplement which, while there is a fair amount of conjecture and squabbling in forums, is said to aid in the production of N.O. in muscles. Here is a link to a youtube promotional video for GlycoCarn, and here are some people arguing about it in a forum, if that’s your thing 😉 The best thing about D-Stunner in my mind is the stimulant blend though. I don’t know enough about the biochemistry of what’s going on to explain it; all I know is that it makes me feel happy and amped to hit the gym. More importantly though, I do not notice any significant crash-like effects afterwards, which in my experience I would expect from a central nervous system boost like the one you get from D-Stunner.

Betancourt D-Stunner Review Summary

Pros: Great stimulant blend, no crash.

Cons: Not the best taste, quite bitter.

Energy: Plenty of energy with no noticeable crash.

Pump: Good pump without a crazy heart rate.

Duration: 1-2 hours.

Price: Mid range

Final Word

I like to use this on days that I am resistance training at the gym and have to do something straight afterwards. I get a great pump from this one, heaps of energy and the thing I like best is that there’s no crash so I can go and do whatever it is (usually work) without feeling irritable and blah.

Update: D-Stunner has been well and truly superseded by newer and arguably better products. In my mind Bullnox is a much better product that gives all the benefits of D-Stunner as well as a whole lot more. Check out my Bullnox Review here.
